Sandy Greenway Wallin, a native of Shelbyville, Tennessee, has studied and produced many forms of art over the past two decades. She apprenticed in New York City for five years with Argentine sculptor, Roberto Estevez, the protege of Salvador Dali.
Sandy left New York to make her home in Caracas, Venezuela for the next thirteen years.
Returning to the United States in 1990, she settled in southern Florida where she currently lives. Sandy attributes much of her colorful imagination to the Latin culture she grew to know and love. Sandy spends her summers at her home in the Cayman Islands. The mystical properties of the sea are infused in her work. Having worked with many different media in sculpture, her passion was fulfilled upon discovering glass fusing, a relatively rare art form. Collectors recognize her work for quality and investment value; everyone appreciates the joyful emotions her work evokes.
Sandy Wallin now enjoys worldwide recognition by the most prestigious establishments: Smithsonian Institute, Washington, DC; Renwick Gallery Shop; Neiman Marcus, Nationwide U.S.A.; Dickens &Jones, London UK; Galleries La Fayette, Carrousel du Louvre, Paris; Tourseau, Geneva, Switzerland; Kirk Freeport, Grand Cayman; and many other fine stores and galleries throughout the world.
